Terms of Service

Effective August 22, 2026. This is the first version.

The short version: the planner and portal help you and us design and track your locations. The layouts and prices it shows are planning documents, not a signed contract; real work happens under a written estimate or agreement. Treat the platform honestly, keep your login to yourself, and your uploads stay yours. If you have a signed services agreement with us, that agreement wins where the two differ.

Agreeing to these terms

These terms govern atomstechnologies.com and the Atoms Build planning platform and client portal at build.atomstechnologies.com, both operated by Atoms Technologies. By using the sites, or by creating an account, you agree to them. If you are using the platform for a company, you are agreeing on the company's behalf and you confirm you are allowed to.

What the platform is

Atoms Build lets you upload a floor plan, lay out cameras, WiFi, audio, screens and network equipment for a location, see budget pricing, and send the plan to us. After that it becomes the record of the project: documents, progress checklists, site photos, sign offs and support requests, shared between your team and ours.

Plans, drawings and prices are planning documents

This is the part worth reading twice. Everything the planner produces is design intent, made for scoping and budgeting:

If your company has a signed services or installation agreement with us, that agreement controls the actual work, and these terms only cover use of the sites.

Accounts and your team

Keep your sign in to yourself, and tell us if you think it has been compromised. Account admins on your side control who joins your company's account, and what your teammates do on it is your company's responsibility. Give us accurate information; we cannot deliver a drawing set to a wrong address gracefully.

Your content

Floor plans, layouts and anything else you upload stay yours. You give us permission to store, process and display that content to run the service for you, including producing plan documents and drawing sets from it and showing it to the people you have authorized. You confirm you have the right to upload what you upload.

Site links for crews

The platform can produce store links that open without a login so installers and contractors can see checklists and file photos. They exist for your project's crew. Share them only with people working on your site; we can rotate or disable a link at any time.

Acceptable use

Use the sites lawfully and honestly. Do not probe, overload or interfere with them, do not try to reach data that is not yours, do not upload anything unlawful or malicious, and do not resell or scrape the service. The planner has fair use limits on submissions. We can suspend or close accounts that abuse the service, and we would rather talk first, so if something looks wrong, write to us.

Demo mode

The planner's demo runs on sample data so you can try the tool. Nothing produced in demo mode is an offer, an estimate, or a design for a real site.

Our property

The sites, the software, the design, and our equipment catalog and documentation are ours or our licensors'. These terms give you use of the service, not a license to copy it.

Third party services

The platform runs on established providers for hosting, database, sign in, storage and email. We choose them carefully, but we do not control them, and an outage on their side can interrupt the service. We will always work to restore it promptly.

No warranty, and limits on liability

The sites are provided as is and as available, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose. To the fullest extent the law allows, Atoms Technologies is not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages arising from use of the sites, and our total liability for claims arising from the sites is limited to the amounts you paid us for the service in the twelve months before the claim, or one hundred dollars if you have paid nothing. Work performed under a signed services agreement is governed by that agreement, not this cap. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you.

Ending things

You can stop using the platform whenever you like and ask us to delete your company's account and data. We can suspend or end access for breach of these terms, and where reasonable we will warn you first. Sections that by their nature should survive, like the liability limits and your content permissions for work already delivered, survive.

Governing law

These terms are governed by California law, and disputes about them belong in the state or federal courts located in California.

Changes

If these terms change, the new version will be posted here with a new effective date, and continued use of the sites after that means the new version applies. A meaningful change will be called out plainly at the top.
