Privacy Policy
Effective August 22, 2026. This is the first version.
The short version: we collect what you type into our forms, what you and your team put into the Atoms Build platform, and, only if you allow it, basic analytics about how the marketing site is used. We use it to run our services and talk to you. We do not sell it, and we do not share it for advertising. If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track signal, analytics stays off without you having to do anything.
Who we are
Atoms Technologies is a managed IT and technology services company serving restaurants and small businesses in Southern California. This policy covers atomstechnologies.com and the Atoms Build planning platform and client portal at build.atomstechnologies.com. You can reach us about anything in this policy at info@atomstechnologies.com.
What we collect
Forms on this site. When you send the contact or support form we receive what you enter: your name, company, email address, phone number, the service you are asking about, and your message.
Atoms Build accounts. When you or your company use the planning platform we hold your email address, your name if you provide one, your company name, and your role on your company's account. Passwords are handled by our sign in provider and stored only in protected, hashed form; we never see them.
Your projects. The platform stores what you and your team put into it and what we produce for you: floor plans you upload, equipment layouts, plan documents and drawing sets, progress checklists, photos our technicians take on site, support requests you file, and the record of who signed off on a plan and when.
Network status. For clients whose networks we manage, our monitoring shows us whether your network equipment is online and how many devices are connected. We use it to run and support your systems.
Automatic collection. Our hosting providers keep standard server logs, which include IP addresses and pages requested, used for security and troubleshooting. On the marketing site, if you allow it in the cookie banner, we also use Google Analytics 4 to understand which pages get read; it collects things like your device type, the pages you view, and your approximate location at the city level. The Atoms Build platform runs no analytics or advertising tags at all; it stores only what sign in needs.
Cookies, and the banner
Essential storage first: the platform keeps you signed in using our sign in provider's session storage, and both sites remember your choice in the cookie banner. That part is needed for the sites to work and does not track you.
Analytics cookies are different: Google Analytics sets cookies only after you choose Allow in the banner on the marketing site. If you decline, or simply ignore the banner, those tags never load. You can change your mind any time using the Cookie preferences link in the footer.
Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control
California law asks websites to say how they respond to Do Not Track signals, so here it is plainly: we honor them. If your browser sends a Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signal, we treat that as a no. Analytics stays off on that browser without you having to touch the banner, and we do not sell or share your personal information either way.
How we use information
To provide and support our services, to respond when you write to us, to run your company's account on the platform, to keep our systems secure, and, with your consent, to understand how the marketing site is used. We do not sell personal information, we do not share it for cross context behavioral advertising, and we do not use it to train advertising profiles.
Who touches it on our behalf
Like most small companies we run on established providers, and they process data only to run our service:
- Netlify hosts both sites and receives what you submit through the forms.
- Supabase runs the platform's database, sign in, and file storage. Access is controlled row by row, and file links expire after a few minutes.
- Google Analytics measures marketing site traffic, only after you allow it.
- Microsoft 365 handles our email and internal file storage, so what you send us lands there.
- Intuit QuickBooks handles our estimates and invoices, so billing contact details live there.
- Ubiquiti UniFi is the system behind the network monitoring described above.
How long we keep it
Form messages as long as we need them to help you. Account and project records for as long as your company's account is active, because your plans, drawings and history are the product. If you want something deleted, ask, and unless we have a legal or billing reason to keep it, we will delete it.
Your rights and choices
Wherever you live, you can email info@atomstechnologies.com and ask what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, and we will honor the request. California residents have these rights in law, and we extend the same treatment to everyone. We will never treat you differently for exercising them. To opt out of analytics, decline the banner, use the Cookie preferences link in the footer, or turn on Global Privacy Control in your browser; any one of the three works.
Security
Traffic to both sites is encrypted. Access to platform data is enforced in the database itself, row by row, so one company cannot read another's records. Document links expire after a few minutes. No system is perfect, but access control here is not an afterthought; it is how the platform is built.
Children
Our sites and services are for businesses and are not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted here with a new effective date. A meaningful change will be called out plainly at the top rather than buried.
